The coupled annealing and pickling line will be constructed at the TCSS Guanghan location in the Sichuan Province.

The scope of delivery
As leader of the consortium, Siemens VAI Metals Technologies SAS, Savigneux, France, will be responsible for the project management and supervising the installation and commissioning. The scope of delivery for Siemens includes a two-high skin-pass mill including installations to bend the work rolls, a roll polishing system, the mandrels for the coiler and the uncoilers, and a strip degreasing unit.

Supplied by European consortium partners
Siemens Ltd. China with its local partner will be responsible for supplying some of the mechanical and electrical equipment. The annealing furnace and the pickling section will be supplied by European consortium partners. The integrated automation of the entire line will be based on Siroll PL, a solution concept developed by Siemens specifically for strip processing lines.

On the annealing and pickling line, TCSS will be able to produce around 240,000 tons of cold strip in widths ranging from 800 to 1300 millimeters and thicknesses from 0.3 to 3 millimeters.
