ArcelorMittal also offers solar solutions, as solar power plants require various long products. The speed of construction and investment costs can be significantly reduced through pre-assembly solutions.
Introducing new products

Thanks to this collaboration, the group has introduced new products such as steel grades from the Differdange site in Luxembourg. Histar® steels combine high yield strength with excellent toughness at low temperatures, offering outstanding weldability properties.
A brand new product range
The product line "Nspired by Nature" is also introduced at Hannover Messe. "Nature" is a brand new product range of organic coated products that really do care for the environment. It is the result of more than 15 years of successful research and testing, and is always delivered with coatings and surface treatments free of hexavalent chromium and heavy metals (lead or hexavalent chromium complex).
"Energy is one of the major drivers of economies. Securing energy is one of the key issues and will have a major bearing on the growth and success of developed countries. The steel industry contributes actively in saving CO2 emissions through lightweight steel and organic coated steel for sustainable building solutions. We are also delivering steel to support the use of renewable energy sources. In 2011, ArcelorMittal supplied over 4 million tonnes of steel only for energy infrastructures", comments Nico Reuter, vice president Long Carbon Europe.
