Kallesoe Machinery A/S ’ plate rack makes it easy to make optimum use of the space of your production plant. With this solution, all your plates are placed and stored in a rack system with drawers. The automatic plate rack makes it easy to handle many different plate sizes and to gain access to them in one single workflow.

The plate rack is controlled with few and simple entries on a touch panel.
It works as follows: Carriage arms move automatically to the chosen drawer. The drawer is locked to the arms, and a chain conveying system lowers it to a correct working height. Now you can remove the plates from the drawers by means of a lifting device fitted with either vacuum heads or magnets. It is possible to optimize the system further by installing a gantry that moves the chosen platen to the desired position, for example a plasma cutter.

Also the placing of plates in the rack is automatic. The drawer to be filled with plates is lowered over a system of carrying pillars fixed to the floor. The new plates are placed on the pillars, and when the drawer is lifted into place again the plates will be correctly placed in the drawer.

The plate rack illustrated above is 4400mm high, has 17 drawers each 2100 x 4500mm and can carry more than 80 tons; however the automatic Kallesoe Machinery plate rack can be manufactured with height, width and number of drawers fitting to your products and your wishes.
